Aviation Tire Supplemental Type Certification

Supplemental Type Certification (STC) is a common approach to certify components within the aerospace industry. Engine, interior and electronic components are often fitted to an aircraft using an STC.

Dunlop is the only tire manufacturer to hold UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation Approval. This approval allows Dunlop to design modifications to an aircraft in the area of tires.

Operators can be assured that there is no reduction to either Dunlop’s responsibilities for airworthiness or product liability for STC approved tyres.
